What We Do

What space do

We love innovative and practical design, it’s what makes us tick.
We never want to pigeonhole our client.

Project Leadership

We care about our clients and we take ownership of your project, advise you on how to achieve your goal and are responsible throughout until any defects are resolved and the project is finished.

Project validation and making an informed decision about your new workspace will save money by future proofing your business.

Our job is to help assess the variety of opportunities and choices available. We then apply our many years of experience to the brief.

Ultimately if a workspace makes staff excited about coming to work and fosters productivity, then we know we’ve truly done our job.

We integrate with your team throughout the design process assist you deal with Change Management and obtain buy in from stakeholders.

The space team

Over 30 years Tim has honed his property skills in many environments and has a depth of knowledge and passion that equips him to deliver awesome office designs and real value for clients.

This year’s midlife crisis will revolve around triathlons and extreme swimming events.

A career in managing software and construction projects fits perfectly into our ethos of delivering innovation to our client’s new space and function. We understand how technology, office space and manufacturing interact and love delivering the optimal and scalable solution. First time, every time. When not working with the Space A Team (we love it when a plan comes together), Phil can normally be found adventuring on Dartmoor, lapping up live music or dreaming of expeditions further afield.

Grace is an enthusiastic, goal-orientated, organised individual with a keen eye for detail, which makes Grace a great Operations Manager for Space. She has a background of banking, finance and dancing – she loves variety!

This year, Grace is studying for a Professional Diploma in AAT Accounting whilst planning her wedding in November – we all love a challenge!

An organised and energetic person, Hazel is always willing to help and is constantly thinking outside of the box to ensure clients get the best possible service.

She has a varied and interesting background, including training in Law and emergency call taking for the Ambulance Service. This, along with her experience in property has provided her the skills necessary to deal with all aspects of project management.

Now expecting her first baby, she is looking forward to the challenge ahead!

My property journey started with professional training in Devon and the Midlands. Once I was a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor, London beckoned and I enjoyed the 1980s buying, selling and developing property for clients.

During the early 90s recession, I secured tenants for over 1 million square feet of offices in Hampshire, and then went on to establish my own consultancy.

Running a company proved both exhilarating and a steep learning curve. We soon expanded to 25 staff by providing innovative new services and a gold star service to clients we still work with today.

While maintaining our consultancy business, we returned to Devon in 2002 to live closer to family. We branched out by developing and restoring historic buildings and converting them to workspace and homes.

As the UK economy fluctuated, our emphasis shifted back to consultancy work where we used our creative talents to transform client’s office interiors.

Keen to explore new challenges and stay on the learning curve, I’ve just completed a two-year project in New Zealand working with a government body on their property strategy, process and systems for their 50 sites throughout New Zealand.

With over 30 years’ experience, I’ve honed my property skills in many environments and have a depth of knowledge and passion that equips me to deliver real value for clients.

Tim lives in Exeter and Lyme Regis and enjoys spending time with his family and his hobbies, to name a few, include volunteering with the RNLI, skiing, swimming, tramping, sailing and cycling.
